How about a short poem on this Thursday before the long weekend?

"Green Enclosures and Circuitry"

Green enclosures, vibrant and neat,
Housing circuits, a secure feat.
Wires winding, components aligned,
Innovation in every design.

So here's to enclosures, sturdy and strong,
Protecting circuits ...

Instead of checkered flags for this Memorial Day, we have black and white engraved tags for terminals.

Finishing touches on our faceless big VFD in a box. This one is going out over 11' tall in a custom color enclosure. Will utilize some of our 400A of 480V for testing.

About Us

Wanna see how a panel is built? Here is a short video:

  • AIC began in 1983 as many small companies do: a great idea and a garage. The founder had some experience with circuit boards and thought the tidiness of traces and chips could be transferred into wires and components in industrial enclosures. This basic idea and focus on neatness is still applied to every panel we build today.
  • AIC is made of a small group of people who enjoy hardware. Most software integrators see the hardware as a necessary evil, but we embrace it. The details of getting 800A of power to not interfere with 0-10V analog signals in the same enclosure is what we do every day.  Our Engineers and Technicians design and build enclosures to be functional works of art.
  • Hardware selection is what we do. You can scroll through any manufactures’ catalog and find 10 components that will work for your application. We know which one of those are stocked and are the best fit for your application. We also know how to use the proper spacing and heat dissipation for each component. We get excited about things like “Bifurcated contacts” and “Watts loss” and have equations to calculate the right components for the application.
  • We strive for perfection on every panel we ship. Checkout procedures include pliers to wire tug tests, actual voltage testing (5V to 600V) and high resolution photography down to the wire label. Our rigorous checkout procedure and optional UL508A listing insure that your panels will ship fully tested. Our quality program lives under the saying that “It’s not a mistake until it leaves our shop”
  • What is the Engineer’s Engineer®? Most Engineers have such a large workload that they don’t have time to focus on the small things. They need a panel to control X motors and Y solenoids with Z inputs and someone to size the enclosures, fuses and wire appropriately. We can take a napkin sketch and give you prints and panels that are fully vetted and tested.
  • Have a machine or line that works great mechanically but needs new controls? Let our team design a controls facelift for you. From sketches on the inside of panel doors to grease prints and unverified CAD drawings, we verify every wire and every conduit in your system. We do the “dirty jobs of automation” to make sure from tear out to start up, this will be a controls system that is easy to maintain for years to come.
